Mr. Jack Lopez is our shcool Wellbeing Worker.  He is at school on Monday,Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday each week.

Our wellbeing support program covers a number of areas including:
- Junior and Senior boys and girls social skills groups
- Daily classroom checkins
- Language Support Program for selected Prep-Year 3 students
- Ongoing support for students experiencing times of transition, trauma or with mental health needs.

A number of additional opportunities are also used to support our focus on wellbeing:

  • Mindfulness is pratised in all classroms across the school.
  • A gardening club focuses on maintenance and establishment of our beatuiful vegie garden and garden beds.
  • A cooking group works together each week to create yummy treats!

We are a School Wide Positive Behaviour chool and our emphasis is on focusing on positive behaviours and explicit teaching of expected behaviours throughout the school.  We use a school wide matrix to support the teaching of the behaviours we want to see in all areas of our teaching and learning.

Referals to our Student Support Officers from the network are also possible if you feel your child needs any of the following:

  • Social Work
  • Psychologist
  • Speech Therapist
  • Visiting Teacher (Hearing, Vision, ASD)

A referral can be discussed with eithe Jack Lopez or Blanche Denmead who will also provide you with the required paperwork.
